So back when he was only 2 1/2 years old, if he was ever teased a bit by some good-humored aunts and uncles, he would tell them he was going to "put their face on a marshmallow stick and cook it". He's just being funny, you know. No psychosis. But that was just the beginning.
I was driving and came up behind a really slow truck and probably cursed his existence or something. Alex offered to slap his face off the road for me. Thanks, dude.
I asked this child to change his clothes. He replied, "I think you need to change your face". Always going for the laugh. I really shouldn't indulge him, but it cracks me up.
At dinnertime, Alex wanted something to drink and Matt said he'd take care of him in a minute. Alex said, "How about I take care of your face?" It's always funniest when he doesn't know what he's talking about.
The other day I told him that Bekah was going to help dad vacuum the car. He suggested that we "take her outside and vacuum her face."
Once I thought that I could get the better of him. He asked me what I was putting in the blender. "Your face" was my reply. "What? You're gonna chop my face up with that blade like a lawn mower?"
Creative, right?

K, so had to leave another comment because I was just reading this to Wade cause I thought it was so funny and we were both hysterical and in tears (I can't remember the last time that's happened) THANKS for the laugh :) We love you guys!
Oh my gosh! That was so very funny! I laughed out loud :) Kids are great! It's sooo hard not to laugh when they say stuff like that :)
HILARIOUS! Alex cracks me up. Such an advanced sense of humor...I had friends in college whose comebacks all had to do with "your face", but they weren't nearly as creative.
LOL hahahahahahah that was hilarious. I love it!
What a crazy kid..How funny...
LOVE IT! I'm totally picturing this little person with comebacks like that, and it makes me LAUGH! Wow, well, wonder where he got it from?? By the way, my kids are in the street, but your kids are talking about faces in blenders--hahaa
Sarah. HE is crazy funny. I imagine you laughing all day long.
Nice. I also love the "I'm gonna throw it in the trash" comeback. Hey, I think you just pulled into the driveway from Pollock. See ya!
Ok so I just had to tell you that ever since reading this post, I now sometimes respond to people with "your face...." hahah, I feel a little immature when I do it, but I also think that it is hilarious cause I always think of Alex when I say it....if only my friends in MN had read this post then they may understand why I think I'm so funny....I miss you guys.
